This weekend Shawn and I got a motel room and I unloaded all my quilt supplies and spent most of Friday and Saturday working on projects. I made a quilt for the floor of the van as well as putting together the top of a smaller quilted wallhanging that I had been thinking about for a while. It was a nice change of pace.

Saturday the tournament was played at Pendleton King. This is a park course that competes with picnickers and pedestrians for park space. Some of the holes even play over picnic tables. The weather Saturday was quite hot and uncomfortable. Shawn shot a four under the first round on a course that saw a number of people double digits under par. This put him somewhere in the middle of the pack with 60 pro players. During the second round, Shawn played quite a bit better and carded an eight under. This was good enough to move him up to the fourth card.

Sunday we checked out of the motel and I played caddy for the day. There was rain in the forecast and we did have drizzle for most of the day. Shawn shot another four under, but on the Riverside course, this is a much better score. It brought Shawn up to the second card for the final round. In the final round Shawn stayed in the same place relative to those on his card and ended up in 10th.

Because Shawn didn't make the final 9 for the top 4 players, Shawn got the opportunity to be the guest commentator for that episode of DiscTV.
