Ozark Mountain Fall Harvest
O
ctober 26 & 27, 2002

The Fall Harvest is the second event we've played this year at the Ozark Mountain course in Vichy, CA. This is an amazing course. It is long, it has great variety, and it has good elevation changes. It has the highest world class par of any other course and the course. It is also located on private property in a remote area of Missouri. This course is not for the faint of heart, but if you enjoy the rugged out doors you will love this course.

The Fall Harvest didn't have a large field as it was fairly cold. Saturday the pros played the long course first. Shawn shot a course record of 62. The second best pro score was 70. I was the only woman and played with the men. I shot a respectable 77 and found myself on the third card.

The second round was played on the shorter course called Akita's Run. It is much shorter, but it is also more wooded. Shawn lost some ground to second place Dave McCormick and I slide down the ranks to the second to the last card. On Sunday we played one final round on the big course. Shawn shot another 62 and left all the other pros far behind. I shot another 77 and beat three or four of the pro men.
