This was absolutely the best tournament of the year. It is the most professionally run as well as the most prestigious (in my opinion). Once again the tournament staff was amazing and the course was in great shape. The feild include 124 competetors. We played four rounds (one each day) on the Winthrope Gold Course. There were significant changes on the course this year and the course par was 68. The Women's National Championships where also held in Rock Hill over the weekend. I hate that the two events are concurrent as I would like to play in both. Since that was not an option, I choose to play in the USDGC. It is such a different atmosphere than any other event. Last year I also played the USDGC and finished in 37th out of 87 players which was a few places out of the cash. This year my goal was to cash. I started out doing ok. I shot 69 the first could of rounds and 70 the third round. I slipped a little the last round shooting a 74 but somehow managed to tie for 50th which was last place cash!!!
